You're not collaborating with that psycho are you, Adam? The FDR cult is not something you should buddy-up with just because they're AnCaps.

OMG, go fucking look it up, it's all public, lazy enough? Yes laws change from place to place and over time, duh! Do you really believe there would be no laws in a free society to protect property? I'm not even sure what you are trying to argue, because you are talking so far out your ass. Want to speak clearly and tell us what you believe? Or not it's whatever

The case law where? What state? What county? Under what conditions? The point is that for various reasons property is not necessarily an easy or consistent thing to define, nor are rights easy to reconcile against the rights of others when there is conflict. These legal definitions and limitations vary from place to place and change over time.

Ideas alone are not property. Specific WORKS are property. There is an important distinction. We are not talking about the Alphabet here or a simple wooden stool; things we all learn commonly. We are talking about specific works; music, art, literature and so on and how those works are replicated without the consent of the owner. I think it is rather immoral for people to take something without honoring the owner's request of payment in exchange.

"All property is a tiny monopoly."

Oh really.... what are you even sayin' man.... You ask more questions than you provide answers to. Many cases have defined physical property, and what infringes on your property rights and so on. So why you ask questions like how high in the sky does a property extend, how far below the ground, I say to you, go read some case law and quit asking philosophical questions that already have a legal framework.

There are several ways to make money from your own labor in a free market, your first buyer for a product could be your last buyer, hence a very low supply makes for a very high price... That's just one obvious solution. The fact is, ideas are not property. Everyone's ideas are merely based on the knowledge they have been given by others. This is how the industrial revolution and everything thereafter happened so quickly. The fact is big companies have the means to steal IP anyway.

Oooh, what a burn. Heaven forbid that I don't treat the works of others as my own and I respect the creator's request for payment. That's the funny thing about "voluntaryism", the creator didn't volunteer to have his work copied without permission, yet the 'voluntaryist' takes it upon himself to do just that without a care in the world for the creator's livelihood. Interesting.

Clearly then, you are not libertarian, but a statist in libertarian costume. IP is INCOMPATIBLE with Libertarianism, anyone who tries to reconcile them is in complete denial and wants to be treated as libertarian but does not want to act libertarian, typical statist. Ta ta

Ive read it. Ive seen Kinsella speak. Ive actually met Jeffrey Tucker. Their arguments are wrong, both practically and morally. Ultimately it boils down to this; the creator made something I want, I am free to accept his terms and pay, or I can pass. They offered the terms of the contract. That I sneak around back and take a copy from someone who violated the contract doesn't make me any less culpable; I am still taking the fruits of the labor of another without permission.
