Bedlam at Talbot Manor

Ormskirk Theatre Company presented their haunted house murdernight, Return to Talbot Manor, at Hallowe'en with a new element - a straitjacket. During the improvised question-and-answer session, anxious maid Ruby, stern housekeeper Frau Schmidt and would-be detective Dr Harriet Ffinch gamely carry on whilst being upstaged by psychiatric nurse Prescott and head of the local asylum, Dr Stringer as they attempt to subdue the unhinged Mason Talbot in a straitjacket, aided - if that is the word - by the monosyllabic butler, Cringe. It was the first time we had used the straitjacket - which led to the unfortunate situation where the straitjacket was strapped on upside down: all of which led to Mason's escape and further mayhem ensued!
