  • to all commentators, he is Gregg, one of the most favourite students of late Enoeda sensei.

professionally he is a bouncer thus he is practicing in real fights what he is preaching therefore dont get deceived. he can move fast and accurately .

the guy is lethal and cool as a cucumber.

  • Hi name is Craig Raye and yes he was a favoured student of Enoeda sensei

  • He was graded by and trained by Master Enoeda himself thats how he is a Black Belt

  • To be honest I don't care if the big guy was a favoured student of Enoeda, or that he's a bouncer. When I watch him do katas or basics, he just looks slow, sloppy, and seriously lacking in agility. The guy needs to lose weight and get back in shape.

  • Thanks for your reply but I respectfully disagree. I always hear people talking about instincts for 'real combat'. What is this 'real combat' everyone refers to? War? The 'streets'? A bar brawl? The guy is showing the uninitiated the mechanics of kizame mawashi full stop. Nothing else. Traditional MA's can get so bogged down in specifics that sometimes we miss the point. Hit the other guy as hard and as fast as you can.

  • I've been practising with Craig at Kingston University in1995-97. He was yet 4th Dan and has been one of the best teacher I ever Had.

He was fast, strong, perfectly controlled and real impressive.

I wish him all my best and send my best thougths !

  • All you guys posting negative comments make me laugh. Im pretty sure that if this guy was in front of you, you would all crap yourselves. HAHAHAHA.

  • to be fair the fella on the left defo looks like thumb man lol

  • how many blackbelts does he need so that he can tie the ends in the front?

  • I think anyone criticising should put up a video of themselves doing what Craig does here and let us see the comparisons. Craig Raye was an Uchi Deshi of Master Enoeda. Now anyone whom ever trained with Master Enoeda would jsut say 'That's good enough for me' because they know Enoeda Sensei DID not suffer fools - so to be allowed into his personal tutelage for the years and years Craig did is something very special. Go train with him and watch how fluidly he moves!

  • @sbowesuk Shotokan is always about speed

  • @justkarate Listen, if Mr Miyagi from The Karate Kid says you should keep eye contact while bowing, it must be right! Never doubt Mr Miyagi!

  • @Claudiu71 plus he is also only a shodan (1st degree black belt) as you can see the orange writing on his belt. hes about average for being a shodan
