The distinction about whether the teachers coming out of Tibet are in fact Chinese needs some clarification. Tibetans are a completely distinct ethnic group and there is absolutely no similarity between the Tibetan and Mandarin or Cantonese Languages. If they were Tibetan they may be from the Kham region. If they are Chinese they are probably Han Chinese.
No disrespect intended. It is important to know ones lineage.
