A tribute to The Imperial War Museum London. Compiled from film and photographs I have taken whilst at the museum on visits from January 2005 to the present day.

All photographs are owned by myself and film clips too. I never intended to upload them until I noticed the small number of IWM films on Youtube. This tribute is to capture the memories of the exhibits and the experience of being in the museum itself.

All sound and audio are featured in the museum. Except two extracts from the 1970s television series The World at War, in which the Imperial War Museum worked closely with the makers to supply footage and historical information.

I look forward to comments, any emails, any wish to make a video upload and feedback in general.

The Imperial War Museum London is a free public museum and is really worth a visit for a day. Visit their website at www.london.iwm.org.uk

Please also note :) that this is not an official IWM production. Plus, the instruction of body disposal in Protect and Survive was taken at a lower resolution hence the drop in picture and sound quality.

  • They sure do have some great museums over there. I'd love to visit them one day. Too damned expensive :-(...

  • @neomuttley Like all the best London museums, the IWM is free :)

  • Thank you for posting such a remarkable video. I particularly liked the World War 1 exhibits, although the Jagdpanther was in great shape even though it took those 3 hits. Perhaps some day when I retire I will travel to London and enjoy this and other fine museums in England. Congratulations and keep up those fine videos!

  • thank you :D

  • The bronze eagle was not in the Reichstag, it was in the Reichskanzlei!

  • You're correct, sorry people for the error there
