  • That's clever, but what if you had a train of really light MPC cars? W/o adding weight to them, they would most likely derail.

  • No I don't think that they would derail. The spring in the switch is very light.

  • the real Cass Scenic Railroad shay 5 does not look like that

  • I think it is but that is only my opinion. I would compare them together in person at your local hobby shop.

  • Well It Has To Occasionally Or Theres No Realism Or The Fun Of Setting It Back Up.

  • No Derailing = No Fun

  • Shay operation! It can be a derailing feature if you pull forward, then back up. Lionel switches completely flip the switch.
