@theliberator1 LoL I'm also doing the base in card, but more like the petals of a pine cone. i've used milliput grey 2part epoxy sculp on the edge to give it the look of bone growth.

You and i have the same thought process when it comes to the impact landing of the spore.
i also think the spore would be filled with not only the beasts but a gel that would dampen the impact and cool the creatures it carries.
building one right now from scratch. i'll prbably take some photos and make a montage.
