B.A.D. - Bad Ass Drama or Bitchin' About Drama: GABM, Hirokochan, TokyoZep, BLunk, etc...

My own take on the recent drama going round the J-vlogging community and how really it's some of the "supporters" who are exaggerating the situation also on those bitching about drama who yet some of them don't really watch or support the vids on Japan but only come out to comment they hate the drama.

Basically the whole drama revolves around perception - perception of foreigners in Japan and in the case of Gimmeabreak/flakeman the perception of a long term resident vs a short term.

Some people have criticized it as drama not knowing what real Youtube drama is - pointless drivel about nothing. Here it is founded in something and all three make some interesting points worth listening to - listening to completely before flying off the handle then posting something stupid on one of their vids.

I also talk about those bitching about the drama and point how the by the views and comments such drama videos seem to be preferred by most to the harder to produce videos with substance.

The jvlogger drama is boring and a waste of time. Keep the more documentary-type vids coming. Please don't do any more drama-related vids at a shrine! If you need more views, just put "Geisha," "naked/nude," or something related to martial arts in the title, and you'll get them. Combine all three in a vid, and you'll rule the 'tube!

boring perhaps but not a complete waste of time so long as it doesn't devolve into petty insults. As I said I don't really classify the recent vid spate as true youtube drama - which is boring and a waste of time as it is just youtube personalities just insulting each other over trivial shite.

Here the crux of the issue was about foreigners in Japan which is an interesting topic but one that is also rather heated and can lead to what we have seen.

Also, you may not usually make videos on drama that get you thousands of hits. But you certainly do make some of the best videos on Japan.

Japan has nothing equivalent to a hypothetical castle to Hitler unless you are referring to Yasukuni Shrine in which case stay tuned as I attempt to school the unknowing about the controversial, misunderstood and sometimes wrongfully maligned shrine ( I say sometimes because I don't support the war criminals but it's more complicated that one most think)
