@Admirturano It depends how much you smoke weed. I agree it is mentally addictive, so if you do it like every day, you're going to have a hard time quitting. NOTHING compared to heroin addiction though. I don't smoke weed every day, but only once a week or so, but I know I would be able to stop smoking weed easily if I wanted to. I would have a harder time giving up sugar.

When I was a kid in high school pot and hallucinogens where everywhere and freely shared. I was the first generation ofter the love generation, and I indulged. Then one day they showed a "drugs are bad" snuff film in health class that explained the effects of different drugs and when they got to opiates, feeling of well being, lack of pain, calming, etc. I thought, "I've been going about drugs all wrong". Thankfully, my brain isn't hardwired for addiction but that film made me want to try smack.

@montana187xxx Clearly you've never heard of the opiate receptors. The "weed is god's gift to humanity because it comes from nature" argument is tired and flawed. Keep in mind that belladonna, papiver somniferum, and bacterial infections come from nature, too. I am just as much an advocate for cannabis legalization as the next person, but there is such outrageous hypocrisy in pot smoking circles. If you use ANY drug however benign, you have NO right to criticize those who use others.
