Shnab, how do you record this? I don't get how you can improvise the piano parts and then sequence over it and have it all line up perfectly beat-wise.

Do you listen to a click while recording? If so, how the heck do you do odd time signatures?

In any case.. this album sends me to new places every listen, it's insaaanely awesome!

@tacklemcclean thanks! Um yeah I use a click track so to speak but it's not traditional. I use sixteenth notes with no emphasis on any particular beat, that way I can play whatever time signature I feel like.

@chrisdlugosz I used to do that all the time, well specifically I'd memorize stamps from mario paint and recreate them on graph paper.
