I love this. It seems so free, funny, spirited and creative - yes, it's different from her usual attitude and tone, but aren't the best artists always reinventing themselves? Perhaps there's a bit of unintentional sexism at work here in the negative reactions - people don't scratch their heads as much when men like Bob Dylan, John Lennon or Pete Townshend vary, as they all do/did, between tough, angry, wistful, sweet, charming and silly modes, so why can't Melanie do the same?

have been trying to find Phonogenic..and Sunset and other Beginnings...anyone know where I can find a copy of these 2...they were my favs...will even buy burnt copies..but..would rather support her if possible

Yup, a bit of a different thing and a little strange for Melanie too perhaps...but after watching it a few times, I was fine with it. It's Melanie in a different mood, maybe just trying to do something a bit different. and that's alright by me. Thanks for posting this.
