The P229 is a great gun. I bought one a few years ago in 40 S&W. I purchased an additional barrel in 357 SIG and it works fine in my SIG and uses the same magazines. Very hot round.

I have to carry the 229 DAK for duty and I own a glock and the trigger pull is nothing like the sig. The main spring failed during a shooting last year and sig has since replaced all the main springs. Now the trigger pull is even heavier! Its not a bad pistol, I'd just rather the dept buy glocks. Less issues with them.

So be it. What can you say for you?
I am a youtube troll who likes to abuse common folk with common hard working beliefs. People with tons of time around certain equipment. Have a pretty solid opinion. Yet need to be trashed by some dipshit wanna bee idiot. Who would probably work his way out of being a draft member.
Your a punk and can shut up any day now.
You are a fool TROLL... Good bye...
-
And all your statements point to you being an immature, unstable, miserable little cumbubble. Take care jerk.
-
Satisfactory in most cases... Yeah well if you knew Jeff a butterknife was Satisfactory in most cases.
If you want to go after my writing skills have fun with that. Its a true sign of a homo.
I was never a parts swaper whatever that means. I usually had to tool our M-60's. I will continue being a Iraq combat vet and life looser because my opinion is Glocks are trash. You can continue to make yourself look like a total ASSHOLE.
I have been around firearms a long time. My opinion is set.
-
And to quote the late, great Jeff Cooper " It is true I am no champion of the Glock pistol, but I think it unseemly to pick on this device when it is obviously satisfactory in most cases." He wrote that in 1988. You are a fool, and you should study up on the man b4 you go dragging his name into your misinformed blabbering, punk.
-
It's you're not your, first off. Secondly, I'm actually a Sig guy, but you stated that "Glocks are crap" which is totally false.
I'm no "kid" fella and an armorer is just a flashier term for part swapper, which I can easily do with any Sig, Glock, and especially the 1911.
You don't make any sense. I'll carry a Glock, but fight with a kimber! WTF man!
You fight with the gun you carry, you silly little girl! What world do you live in where you can obtain your weapon of choice b4 a fight?
-
Your a Troll. If you like Glocks good for you someone has to keep them in business right?
After ten years in the service. Four of which as an armorer. You are right I must be an idiot.
Kid go keep being sold on shit. The numbers don't matter. For duty carry I would rather carry a Glock because its light. If I was in a firefight I will take my Sig or Kimber.
Yet you probably think the 1911 is junk also.
People like you make Jeff Cooper turn in his grave. John Browning also.

Glocks are carried by many elite military units, Italy's equiv to our SEALS come first to mind, they issue 17's. Besides that, the Glock 22 is the most issued police sidearm in the country.
You are an idiot, dobermans are only good defense dogs b/c they are noisy, and you lack any real experience.
But don't get mad, to each their own right?
-
I'm thinking you we're drunk when you replied. Glocks don't have a universal appeal, but they are PROVEN!!
They don't have mag drop safeties, thumb safeties, grip safeties, and such but they go bang every time, put the pill where it's pointed, and are easy to teach.
Glock puts out a damn fine pistol, and who wants to lay out the moolah a Sig demands only to have to hunt down the elusive gunsmith?
If I had 500 bones and needed a handgun, I would rock the Glock b4 ANY OTHER.
-
Just be carefull with your recoil spring. Its the only fault I have with the Sig. Its supposed to be installed only one way. If you flip it. It will start to chew the barrel up leading to failure. Something to keep in mind.
Also what did you spend for the .22 conversion. That sounds like a heap of fun.
-
Yeah it is a great gun. I just bought a 22 caliber conversion kit for it. Great gun and now an affordable plinker as well. Haven't tried the 22 kit yet but I'm sure it will be great, especially with the co$t of 22's vs the co$t of 40's and 357 sig.
how is the trigger pull?
elpidiovaldez4ever 3 years ago
It's really similar to a glock's trigger pull. Somewhat long and light, a little too long but it's meant for self defense not the range. The da/sa have a much better trigger pull than the dak I can shoot more accurately with the dak from a draw though. You always have the option to convert between the two though.

Have you fired a glock? I much prefer the low profile. Sig's all sit way too high for my elven wrists :P
That being said, they're extremely well made firearms. I just don't like 'em.

Yeah my friend has a g17, the thing feels like a brick in my hand. Kind of a shame since I like the design.
