Just what the world wanted for Christmas 2009--a marginally better YouTube version of the original Broadway cast of "Promises, Promises" doing "Turkey Lurkey Time." Don't try this at home, especially the Donna McKechnie head pops. But don't let the lousy song throw you; stick it out for the dancing.

  • Megan sucks.

  • @sibilish I know! I can't believe Don is going to marry her.

  • Thanks a lot for the significantly marginally better pic - and hey, the sound is FANTASTICALLY better!! (BTW The video in the background of the Seth Rudetsky presentation of this seems very good - why hasn't anyone released it officially on one of those Lost Broadway editions?) I am VERY obsessed with this number, after only hearing it for 35 years. Lo, the scales were lifted from mine eyes!!

  • Oh, and if you're in New York, go see it at the Paley Center on 52nd.

  • It's NOT a lousy song. It was written by Hal David and Bert Bacharach. I think it's one of Bacharach's best songs. Just my opinion.....

  • I'm obsessed with this performance.

    OBSESSED.

Donna McKechnie is a straight up legend.

  • @broadwaymac486 I adore Baayork...

  • When I grow up, I want to be the woman who gets on top of the desk at 2:11. Doot doo-doo dooooooooooo!

  • Donna double neck snaps are to die for. And no one can bend her back like she can...what a legend!!

  • marginally better makes all the difference!

  • Out of the hundreds of times I've watched this video, I don't think I've ever commented! Legendary and iconic performance, I'm surprised this performance never made it to the Broadway's Lost Treasures series. Of course, Donna McKechnie is superb, but no one ever comments on Baayork Lee's infectious personality in this number. She is a little spitfire and gives hope to us shorter dancers (even male ones too, like myself!) that we can be featured right up there, too!

  • I wish my office parties were as fun as this :-)

  • @crazychel I know right? I just said to myself I wanted to go to that party...or work at that place! LOL
