@EnergySingh1 I actually live in Canada, sikhs are recognized as Indians if they weren't I'm sure the prime minister and army generals wouldn't have been sikh -_- Also its Indian martial arts don't try to separate India by states, indias one. ;) Thats what pisses me off about indians we always try to seprate each other by states religion, you dont see chinese ppl doing thats why there more succesful. Remeber its india.

@HinduTamilSouljah and brahmins who originaly asked aswell as gujuratis and others around punjab. not coz they couldnt defend themselves but because the hindus knew that this would mean they would eventually be destroyed in parts of india and wanted a peaceful way out, which lead to our own people taking up arms...and lead to a sikh principle of defending the rights of all and the defenceles and the innocents, never fight for land.

@HinduTamilSouljah the shastarvidiya martial arts date back to aryana times, us sikhs adopted the art and mastered it, shastarvidiya affects all martial arts traditions in india and even some chinese arts. sikhs definantly made a huge contribution in destroying the plans of the mughals of converting most, if not, all of india to islam, marathas and some other people did also.

@HinduTamilSouljah this is not just a reply to you,but for everyone talking about sikh/maratha history+contribution to ending Mughal rule.firstly sikhs originaly used shastarvidiya:and gatka is part of that.remember that all of india was different countries back then but in the North the biggest problem for the Mughals was the punjab's sikhs,and in the south it was maratha's.maratha's had stayed out of mughal rule,therefore sikhs efforts to protect hindus wouldnt of affected them...
