Cynthia McKinney, Green Party Presidential Candidate, We've seen how the constraints of the Democratic Party results in policies that do not reflect our values.

We can see results in other countries when people Vote Their Values.

Vote Your Values and you can get the leadership that reflects those values.

  • Cynthia, your comments are well-expressed. I simply respectfully yet strongly disagree with your values. I agree that all Americans should vote values, not party-not skin color. If you advocate a society where the individual who works hard is FORCED to give their produce to those who don't, then I hope and pray you are the exception to the American 'rule'. Rugged individualism and self-determination are what built our country. Family faith & judeo-christian values are the values I'll vote.

  • You won't find your values in McCain or Obama either though.

There are four candidates on a significant number of a ballots that agree that our system is broken. They are across the political spectrum. I'm sure one of them is akin to your values.

  • Every four years, the voters who dislike the Republicans and Democrats are put into a situation that they don't know who to vote for. I like Ron Paul and I like Ralph Nader and there are other good Independent candidates as well. If I voted for one of them doesn't my vote contribute to spreading the votes too thin? In any event, I will vote Independent.

  • Specific to Cynthia McKinney is building an enduring political party. If she were to get 5% of the vote both the campaign and the Green Party would get millions of dollars under federal law. That would mean a VIABLE NATIONAL PARTY outside of the two parties.

If enough people vote for McKinney this time you WILL see a viable alternative in four years. 5% now and the "ever four years" conundrum will change.

See the "Green Party Real Progress" music video in Favorites - look for 5% image.

icon is "Green Party Real Progress" or name is Run (historical moment) for Cynthia.

Not enough people understand the legal importance of 5% in creating a nationally viable political party.

It's why the McKinney/Clemente campaign can have greater legal impact than an "independent" campaign.

  • can't wait to vote green this november :)! btw, it's not a wasted vote if I never intended to vote democrat in the first place. that's the great fallacy of the two big parties, they think that they own your vote...fat chance!

  • McKinney's campaign means a chance at ballot access in several states. That in turn helps local candidates.

If McKinney can get 5% of the vote both the McKinney campaign and the Green Party get MILLIONS of DOLLARS in funding which will make for a viable and competitive NATIONAL Green Party.

Too few people understand the Federal Election Laws in this country.

  • I wanted to vote for Ron Paul but since he's not running anymore, I'd raher vote for the second best rather than the lesser of two evils. Thank Cinthia McKinney for giving us another good choice for president. God bless you and may all who have eyes, ears and a sound mind have the courage to take back what is rightfuly ours as it says in the declaration of independence.

  • I'll give Cynthia a free tip on how she needs to work this. She needs to move to D.C., as her base would obviously be the black vote. Though she would have no real power, I think that she would do better than Marion Barry.

I would never vote for her, but she's young enough to repair her future. I think she played the race card needlessly & Im sure she would agree in hindsight. She's misguided.

If Cynthia is reading this, I hope she dont get offended.

  • Hugo Chavez nationalized his country's largest source of income and antagonized his nation's biggest customer. Oil income to Venezuela is now 20% of what it was prior to his taking office and inflation is out of control. Are those the values, is that the kind of change Cynthia McKinney thinks we should vote for? A Marxist-Socialist nation? No thanks.

  • Oh, and come on: voting for Daniel Ortega in 2006 WAS a vote for turning back the clock; Ortega had been out of office 16 years before he was brought back in.

True, in 2006 he wasn't the fire-breathing Sandinista that he was in the 1980s; by 2006, he had become a strict Roman Catholic and had substituted one form of authoritarianism with another. This didn't prevent charges of child abuse and sexual violence from being raised against him, however.

And he's STILL an anti-American radical.

  • Hugo Chávez and Daniel Ortega are virulently anti-American Marxist thugs, and lets not kid ourselves: Ortega is less popular now in Nicaragua than King George Dubya the Shrub is in the U.S.

And come on, very few people in the United States are going to vote for any candidate who calls capitalism the work of the devil and wants to see another Cold War emerge between the U.S. and Russia.

  • One true ORACLE...

  • I would say vote for the movement, vote for the lasting effort to build a real opposition party that wants to change our government's relationship with corporate wealth, the people and the planet.
