Fix My Ugly Room - Contest Entry - My Ugly Bedroom

We bought the house 2yrs ago and had to rip up the rug in the bedroom because previous owners stained the rug and it smelled like an ashtray. We also noticed all the imperfections on the walls from where the sheet rock, not to mention the 4" slop from the house settling which starts at the door and goes down toward the makeshift closet. When my bedroom door and front door is open, the neighbors walking by can see straight into the bedroom, makes it hard to change at times. I would love to close off the door and move it to where the closet is and move the closet to where the door is, level the floor so I wont have to put pieces of wood under the furniture to level them off. I feel very depressed when I'm in the room, because I would love to have it as my escape, sanctuary from the everyday work and no play type of life. And trying to fix and maintain everything else in the new house has left the pockets empty for any change. I could really use the extra help in turning my bedroom into my own haven. Although the dog don't mind the slop in the room, for the she drops the ball at one end of the bed and runs to the other side to catch it. Please help me.

omg it's not ugly.. my room has yellow walls with black spots, (not supposed to be there). and i have the ugliest furniture ever :(( My table is made out of a box out of hard paper, and a piece of tree..
