We're excited to announce our next Brewmaster's Reserve: Mary's Maple Porter. A little over a year ago, after she'd spent a 30-year career at a ginormous brewery, we rescued Mary Wiles and made her our quality control director. She's doing a great job, but we never told her the truth....we really wanted her for the syrup. She and her husband have a family business -- they've got acres and acres of sugar maple trees in upstate New York and they make real maple syrup. Every batch of Mary's Maple Porter has 50 gallons (!) of maple syrup added to the kettle. It's really tasty, especially with bacon. Mary's Maple Porter is available Feb-April 2012, draft-only.
