  • Does the Ar-18 pack the same punch as the modern M4-carbine that our troops use ?

  • Yeah, the AR-18 is chambered for the same round- 5.56x45mm

  • It's fun, exotic and easy to clean, what more could you ask for??? Love those 40 round mags.

If it's good enough for the terminator it's good enough for me!!

  • @BH1916 Jesus Christ where do all these fucking faggot IRA fanboys come from on youtube. They speak about it like they were some perfect, just force that never did anything wrong ever. Kingsmill massacre, bloody friday, omaha bomb, the countless unarmed people gunned down in front of their families by 'brave ira volenteers' I could go on. All these pathetic little fanboys need to shut the fuck up about something they clearly know very little about.

  • @DudeNumberOnePlus To start the engine lol

  • I'll take an AR 180 over an AR 15 ANY day

  • Mine was made by Stirling UK

  • @joeyxdope I thought they were both running against each other?

  • If only the military waited a few more years for this rifle instead of quickly adopting the M16. The action in this gun is the same used in the modern HK416, which is now being issued to troops as the M27 IAR.

  • why theres that weird crank bolt handle?

  • @dukesgrill A lot of what was not included were AW ban items. Bayonet lug, flash compensator and swivel stock. The polymer lower is fine but it would have been better if it was CNC machined aircraft aluminum. I do like the fact normal AR-15 mags can be used. I have had to modify lots of mags for my AR-180 to use them. A job that can go wrong in a second.

  • @DobermansRock I agree with the ideas you stated. An H-bar would have been the first majorly-needed improvement. They also should have revisited the side folding stock, taking efforts to look at the H&K G36 and also the Daewoo K2 which have very solid folding stock lock-ups. Also, the built-in muzzle break has to go, in deference to an actual flash hider. I would have ditched the polymer lower, but understand cost constraints. Less important, but still on the list is a 9mm carbine version.

  • @dukesgrill I own one of the AR-180's made by Howa. And there is a lot of mods it could be given. An external bolt catch/release would be nice. Heavier barrel, rear site adjustable for distance, stronger stock and an upper with a rail. If they had made those changes as well. It would be close to better.

  • @DobermansRock Jeez man. Would have helped if you had stated that in the first place. It does not matter whose factory physically churns it out. As long as it is stamped Armalite it is made by Armalite.

I had a chance to buy an AR180B from ARMALITE when they first came out and passed. It was a failure for a reason. They had about 30+ years to make substantive improvements on a good system and all they came up with was a polymer lower that takes M16 mags.
