my school has lot's of 20" iMacs and now they have just replaced them for the 21.5GHz i3 3.06GHz models!

My school is running Windows XP on old beige PC's with Intel Celron processors. We still have those old clunky CLP monitors. And we are suppost to be a really good school system in a town with fairly high taxes. I JUST DON'T GET IT!

That's not school. Schools are kid prison. Kid prison only has 1GB RAM dells. lolz

we have dell optiplexes, and they'e probably the lowest end pc you could get. besides emachines... teehehe
my school upgrades every year. haha were getting vostro towers with win7, and theyre replacing the imac27's in the photo lab with studio 1's dell/windows = own. this looks like a comp. lab tho. thats not a class.

Seriously, your district is rich.
A student that is browsing the web, making powerpoints, and simple movies will live with a a $800 PC, including the monitor. No reason to spend over 2 Grand on things that cost about 1 grand.

We actually use mostly Mac only apps, so PCs were not options.

You could have always built custom PC's and installed Mac OS X, still cheaper :).

Well since school districts don't usually condone the illegal defiance of software license agreements, this would not have been possible.
