Andrea Rossi, after a lifetime of developing and promoting alternative energy systems, has begun producing a commercial 10 kilowatt reactor that uses hydrogen and nickel for fuel, without irradiating or creating hazardous byproducts. He and Sergio Focardi, a retired physicist from the University of Bologna, have been awarded a patent for this application from Italy on April 6, 2011. A series of 300 of these units is being linked to power a 1 megawatt plant that will produce heat for industrial purposes.

The nickel transmutes into copper in the presence of heated and pressurized hydrogen. These reactors are ready for commercial leasing, as the catalysts that allow this reaction are the intellectual property of Andrea Rossi, and form the basis for the legal fight that will follow his planned October demonstration of a 1 megawatt pilot plant, being built in Greece. This plant will team over 300 of the 10KW reactors in serial and parallel arrays.

His Greece partners plan to lease these reactors in November for immediate deployment.

RAI TV in Italy produced this video, and the translation.

Mats Lewan, of Nyteknik, reports that, "Andrea Rossi, the energy catalyzer inventor, has reached an agreement with a new company in the United States. The agreement builds on several years of contacts with people linked to the U.S. Department of Energy.

The fresh agreement outlines commercial plans in North- and South America for the energy catalyzer -- the device that seems to produce large amounts of energy via a hitherto unknown and not fully understood nuclear reaction.

Under the agreement, a newly formed company, Ampenergo, will receive part of the royalties on all sales of licenses and products built on the energy catalyzer in the Americas.

Links to U.S. authorities are evident.

The founders of Ampenergo are Karl Norwood, Richard Noceti, Robert Gentile and Craig Cassarino.

Two of them also founded the consulting firm LTI -- Leonardo Technologies Inc. -- which for 10 years has been working on contracts amounting to several millions of dollars for the U.S. Defense and Energy departments, and with a recent contract with DOE amounting to 95 million dollars.

Robert Gentile was also Assistant Secretary of Energy for Fossil Energy at the Department of Energy during the early 1990's.

Three of the founders have known Andrea Rossi since 1996 and have been working with him previously. Rossi also co-founded LTI, but sold his stake in the late 1990's.

Formally, the agreement has been made between Ampenergo and Rossi's American company, Leonardo Corporation (not to be confused with LTI)...."

  • @RichLOAguy 100% agreed. True inventors always face challenge from common people, politicians & other authorities.

  • Congrats Andrea Rossi !! Best invention of the century so far. He asked himself "Why can't it be done?" while most physicists/theorists say "There's no theory that supports it so how can it be done?"

  • Just what I need to replace my gas fired domestc heating boiler!

  • Amazing! The world will never be the same after this technology takes off (in coming year), and Andrea Rossi will forever be remembered as a hero. 600 000 000 less cars on the road... Cars with a lifetime of fuel included with purchase... pollution free fuel... Desalination plants feeding poor populations... Corner gas stations will vanish. Pollution will be a thing of the past. It is ironic that Andrea Rossi was also considered a bad guy by environmentalists. Andrea Rossi is a HERO

  • @pacus123 the kilowatt reactor is the experiment models.. the plant opening soon is 1 mW

  • @1abcrr1 creates heat-creates steam-creates electricity

  • i confused does it make usable electrical power , with a byproduck of steam or is the steam the product and u use a turbine to make electricity

  • That should read 1MW reactor and not 10KW.
