help me please.......... how is the quality of the NON HD (SD) channels when we but 'Tata Sky HD' set top box ???? is the picture quality produced by standard set top box and HD set top box different in case of NON HD channels ???

@r1skf4ctor According to me, non HD channels on a HD set top box have a marginal improvement i.e. about 10% better when compared to non-hd channel on an SD set top box.

what is the use of usb cable and is there any way to connect tata sky plus and dvd player both in 5.1 channel mode!

have only 1 output for 5.1 channel!

@rishijash07 i think u meant us port...as of now there is no use. tatasky might update the firmware later to naked use of it. As for the 5.1 i don't think there is a way to connect both if u don't have the ports. There may be an adapter but not sure. Thnx!

@Adityav95 not a problem! and tata sky just launched star gold, movies, plus and world hd. Can you find out thru the STB if the channels are airing in 720p or 1080p? bcoz i'm plannin to upgrade to a non dvr tata sky hd so i really wanna know if im gonna get full hd or not..

@mayurdamuziclovr yup i know...even max is in HD but for IPL only. The thing is the max res is 1080i and not 1080p and the box is such that it displays all channels in 1080i. it upscales it i guess coz my TV shows 1080i for all channels and in the settings part, u choose the res for all channels....that's why some of the channels(non HD) r better too. But in the HD channels...only the newer shows look great...some of the older movies are not at all better than the normal channel. So watch out!
