  • Awesome since I have a hard time squaring up my fabric before I start cutting squares. Does it fray much when you do this? Great video! Thanks!

  • @raeknight79 If you are using 100% cotton, which is what I am most familiar with, it does not fray much, but what I usually do after I get is straight is I press it really well with a hot iron, and then I use my rotary cutter on the cutting mat to take off about 1/4 inch and then the raw edge won't fray on you. Hope this helps!!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!! Ive been haing the most difficult time getting it straight. As I wathed this I thought shes full of it. But I also thought it wouldnt hurt to try so I did and guess what. . . . . . . . It totally freakin worked. Thanx much!

  • @miababy221 HAhahahaha! I love it! It totally works doesn't it?? The only time this DOES not work is when you find that your cheap fabric (which I rarely ever buy anymore because of this problem) is printed crooked on the grain of the fabric. This is a real problem if you have a pattern that needs to be straight such as a repeated print that runs in rows...I have sent back defective fabric many times for that reason. So now I stick with the good fabric, and I rarely have an issue!

  • Yes it works, but not on all fabrics. And what if the fabric is warped in the first place? How do you pull out a warp?

  • All wovens will work like this if the rip is smooth and easy. You can also pull a warp out to mark a normal guide line printers do this or at least they did in my time You create a grid for sewing cutting and fitting pieces Thanks for the cool vid

  • simple but brrrrrilliant! Thank you for your tip of the day.
