LAPD chase a man down shoot him in the back and then EXECUTE him at point blank range. Then if that was not bad enough they have the balls to claim self defense and exonerate the officer of any wrong doing.

Why (breaking all police protocol) does a cop (in the dark) run after a suspect who just pointed a gun at him?

No cop in their right mind no matter how dumb they are runs after a suspect in the dark who just pointed a gun at him with his two friends to his back as well. Like I said, dumbest cop in the world or a LIAR.

There was probably some beef between him and the cop and that's why he ran. Maybe he owed the cop turf cash for allowing him to sell drugs. Criminal begets criminal.

According to the DA's findings, Cuevas was reaching for the firearm that he dropped when he hit the ground, which is why Officer Jove shot him again. Contrary to what the movies will have you believe, unless you take a bullet to the brain, you do not immediately die.
