now i aint gonna lie, some kids found it weird that i was into what i was in to with graffitti in the 90's and listening to artist like ottis redding,sam cooke, chaka khan with rufus,screaming jay hawkins etc......that was until they were sampled in rap songs.

damn really? i'm only 30, jay came up in my era and i didn't need jay to learn about otis redding. i mean shit my dad was a full blooded italian who worked on cars and rode motorcycles all day and he's the one that got me into otis redding amongst other soul,blues and classic rock artist. now i don't really think it's sad the younger generation had to learn through jay...as long as their learning. they need to know about the artist being sampled like wendy rene. i think youtube helps with that.

I thinks it's sad that my generation had learn about otis from jay-z. But I guess it doesnt matter how you found him as long as you do. Everyone should know this music it doesnt get any better!
