  • Looks like a fun game just got it at game stop for 16$ X3 gold edition

  • @Fayun144 Be careful, this game a huge learning curve but it's well worth it. Head to the community forums whenever you need help.

  • Graphically this game looks like a motherfucker to run! What video card are you using?

  • @VicousMelodies This game uses an updated version of a 2005(!) engine (this was released in 2008), so any modern video card that came out past 07/08 should work just fine.

I use a Radeon HD 4850 and have no problems at all.

  • @GeneralAjaxus hey what about a radeon hd 4200 graphics?

  • @gyapyash My guess is that it will work fine. Might have to turn down a few settings just a bit.

  • have to say, i like the design of the Argon and Split Battleships, M2s, if i remember what they were called correctly.

  • @InevitableEnigma yah; but you get to directly control your ships + control whole fleets of ships

  • Is this like Eve Online but Singleplayer?

  • this game needs online multiplayer badly!!!

  • @Antarayan agreed although I only had Reunion before this one I much prefere TC as I found Reunion horrendously difficult to understand and work out how to play and, after comparing the two next to each other, the new one has a much nicer interface and to my mind you don't need much/any knowlage of the previous games to enjoy or understand the game.

  • @supergoalie1617 I've played both X3 and EVE Online for quite some time and back when it was just X3:Reunion I would deffinately be enclined to agree with you, the user interface is horrendous. However, I've recently moved from EVE Online to X3:Terran Conflict and much prefere it to EVE due to the play style and (for me) ease of access. I find EVE Online takes a lot more time and effort to learn to play although neither have sufficient tutorial systems to my mind.

  • @jrodmcscary I would suggest going for this version but you have to remember that it has an extremely steep learning curve. Without reading the manual you will most likely have no idea whats going on when you first play. That said, when you figure out what you are doing you can spend hundreds of hours playing it if you choose to.
