But this song is pretty much anti-religion. They are saying how this man looks to God for the forgiveness of taking the innocence of his daughter. He is selling his daughter for fame and profit, and then looking to God for the forgiveness of his actions.

I admit this song is good and the band too, but I hate the fact they're religious nutsacks. I know win was raised in Texas as a Mormon, so that might be the problem right there. Other than that, I just ignore the whole "religious aspect" of their work. Either they're talking about Cities or religion. And I prefer cities. But seriously, other than that, GREAT band. But hey,every band has it's faults. And in a way, the religion aspect does shine on their classical work.

@JSFAKM i came back to this song exactly for that reason. it gave me shivers walking on it,
best way to listen to this song: blast on any mp3 player while walking fast downtown at night.. i could barely resist singing along with it
