Using oil additives for Harley Davidson air-cooled V-Twin motors can actually be detrimental to the engine and will void many motorcycle warranties. Avoid oil with additives, and use synthetic oil instead for motorcycles, with advice from a certified motorcycle technician in this free video on Harley Davidson motorcycles.

I've been using Activ8 Friction reducer for about two years down both holes in my Sportster and 15000 miles later I've had no problems, just smoother running and shifting.

I agree with you 100%, and it goes for all engines, not just air cooled. Thats my opinion anyway...
I havn't messed with synthetics yet,,, I've been using Castrol GTX 20/50 all the way back to when it was called XLR and came in a can. Im 56 years old now, and to this day, I have never had an oil related engine failure. Dennis
