Using oil additives for Harley Davidson air-cooled V-Twin motors can actually be detrimental to the engine and will void many motorcycle warranties. Avoid oil with additives, and use synthetic oil instead for motorcycles, with advice from a certified motorcycle technician in this free video on Harley Davidson motorcycles.

  • I've been using Activ8 Friction reducer for about two years down both holes in my Sportster and 15000 miles later I've had no problems, just smoother running and shifting.

  • I agree with you 100%, and it goes for all engines, not just air cooled. Thats my opinion anyway...

    I havn't messed with synthetics yet,,, I've been using Castrol GTX 20/50 all the way back to when it was called XLR and came in a can. Im 56 years old now, and to this day, I have never had an oil related engine failure. Dennis
