The NES update can be patched over the SNES game file with a TSB roster editor. Should take about 5 minutes.

can anyone tell me where I can download this patch - what website and what do I need to do - I have a nes emulator and original tecmo super bowl rom - it works but how and where do I go about adding a patch for this? Thank you.

Short answer is yes. But the SNES version does not have a 32 team game file. 28 Teams for Tecmo Super Bowl and 30 Teams for Tecmo Superbowl II - III.
