They have assigned seats in the galleys and on larger aircraft such as the a330 in this vid, they have crew rest beds and areas

Well the reason they have to pilots is not because they need backup. Alot of people mistake the fact that the captain only flies the plane. But both pilots do exactly the same thing. Only difference is that the captain makes decisions. The co-pilot flies and lands tha plane too. One pilot will handle paperwork and ATC while the other flies the plane.

At what point in the video do you see another A380? I could not see another when filming and walking around LHR.
