MINIFIG STUDY - shaking head "No" 15fps

I was surprised how tricky this was to make it look "natural". I concluded that my first few attempts were not good because he was turning his head too far in each direction. I estimate this video of my best attempt has maximum head movement of 20 degrees from far left to far right.

I have to agree. Most people way over-do the turning of the head, myself included. I think this looks good.

Do you really take 15 pictures from head center to the head turned to one side?

Glad you like the look of the head shake. No, I don't have 15 frames from center to one side, more like 3, maybe like 5 frames from one side to the next. It's actually a 10 frame cycle. That means, for example, it takes 10 frames starting at the head far left to when the head returns to that position. 15 is 15 frames per second, that's how many frames are played back per second.

Oh, okay...I was just guessing that each turn to the side was roughly a second, but apparently not! Actually...I don't know why I thought that...must've been late...Anyways, this project your doing right is a very good one and I might end up doing something similar to measure my own skill! Keep it up
