hope you get a much more expensive alternative. You prefer the american f-35 who will give you .......... nothing in return .Try to get the least of it. hope you get invaded by by your commie friends!

@muehl81 We'll see how? Switzerland is neutral state, I guess. So no chance to find out how this beauty actually stands. By the way here in Czech Republic, we have this aircraft only for defensive purposes. I estimate that it'll be so in the case of Switzerland. :) cheers

Switzerland just decided to buy 22 Gripen EF! Gripen won the race against Eurofigher and Rafale. I dont know if this was the right choice.. we'll see!

@amtrack5 The reason why few countries buy gripen despite it is a both cheaper and better than many of it opponents is because Sweden is a pretty small country... USA, Russia and EU has much bigger diplomatic power..

@sitaAkemi I vrote that it was manufactured in Hungary?Read again my comment please.I meant operated by the Hungarian air force!People here know that the JAS-39 Gripen is made in Sweden.Thank you for this information.

the Gripen would have been better fitting for Austria's needs. I'd rather have 30 of them than our laughable 15 Eurofighters >:-(

Austria selected the Eurofighter insted for this fighter (gripen) and for the record,EF is almost twice the prize compared to the gripen,and of course a little smaler fighter than the EF. haven't still figured it out why Austria feltt the need of such a big fighter.
