i tried Interpid and 9.10 and 10.04 and 10.10
and Comiz look good but thats all Ubuntu has got harware support is useless in ubuntu will wait till when they fix everything then will change from Win to linux
i dont think it will happen before ubuntu 25.04

@djsotos - If programmers moved more towards OpenGL they'd find they can do everything DirectX can do, and more, plus their games would be more easily ported to other platforms.

@arewr666 Hey no linux is not just compiz.....have a look at my videos and look at one of my freinds OSGUIshow or GotbletU's videos......these videos all they do is show people what they already know!

Hello......as much as i enjoyed this video can (not just you) people start posting real videos up? not just showing off their desktop....maybe show how to install Gearth? and you know stuff like that but we hae too many videos like these............have a look at my videos or gotbletus videos os the OSGUIshows videos and do more of them

If you consider DirectX the most importand thing in your life no it`s not useful. But generally speaking, it can do everything Windows can (except the gaming) AND do it in a more beautiful and stylish way. Also, keep in mind that every unix system can put your proccessors into better use than Windows OS can.
