This recording comes from an obscure, four-song EP featuring Helen Gallagher singing songs from "Anything Goes." The other tracks are "I Get a Kick out of You," "You're the Top" and "Blow, Gabriel, Blow."

Helen sings great. Sounds nothing like Maeve Ryan from Ryan"s Hope.

Helen is a good friend of mine. In her 80s and still going strong. There are lots of wonderful recordings of her out here, and some videos at the NYPL for the Performing Arts and also at the Museum of Radio and Television. She made frequent appearances on TV in the 50s.

I met her after seeing her in Sweet Charity. I was very, very young, and she was wonderfully kind.
