Denzel has a childhood sweetheart named Marlene, but he found out he wasn't hers, and when they grew up (as Cloud and Tiffa), he discovered that she likes Kadaj. And he winds up flashbacking and reflecting on his childhood.

@YAOIFANGIRL0131 That was the idea. I happened to notice there are very few---if any---music videos starring Denzel, and this song gave me the perfect opportunity to correct that oversight.
