Lyrics:
Alright,
now listen, baby

You don't care for me
I don'-a care about that
Gotta new fool, ha!
I like it like that

I have only one burning desire
Let me stand next to your fire
Let me stand next to your fire [Repeat 4 times]

Listen here, baby
and stop acting so crazy
You say your mum ain't home,
it ain't my concern,
Just play with me and you won't get burned

I have only one itching desire
Let me stand next to your fire
Let me stand next to your fire [Repeat 4 times]

Oh! Move over, Rover
and let Jimi take over
Yeah, you know what I'm talking 'bout
Yeah, get on with it, baby
That's what I'm talking 'bout
Now dig this!
Ha!
Now listen, baby

You try to gimme your money
you better save it, babe
Save it for your rainy day

I have only one burning desire
Let me stand next to your fire
Let me stand next to your fire

  • I have this on vinyl too, but i wondered, how is this a alternate take? what is different between this and the album version?

  • @ACDCNut55 Not sure, I haven't noticed any differences. I listened to the album version, then this one, and couldn't tell the difference.

  • Move over Rover!!

  • @curio46 And let Jimi take over! =)

  • @EddieHazel74 Yes you are correct, but that is the difference that stood out to me the most. But the finer matters still matter too

  • @ACDCNut55 This is the same take on "Are You Experienced". But this is a signifigantly different mix that was done for it's inclusion of the "West Coast Seattle Boy" box set. The difference - The two guitar tracks are separate as opposed to being in one headphone, the vocals are in the center, the bass is less dominant, the drums are mixed in stero, and last but not least - it has it's original ending instead of the fade-out you hear on the album version.

  • @Lucario1211 Actually after comparing, I have come to realize that the album version fire has a fade out version, and that my vinyl version (this one) has a "proper" ending, with no fade out.
