For build information visit http://gordsgarage.wordpress.com/. This is my version of a homemade bending brake for 10 gauge sheet metal. Total build cost was $88 not including some scrap I had laying around.
Quality - well done. Can I suggest a cavity around the lockdown location hole and install a serious valve spring - when you back of the clamp bolt it'll lift it up and sit there - just pulls back down when you tighten. Will work for both lengths of bolt.
I like to see guys that can think-it & do-it! Good job.
Ok heavy duty stuff there, bends well... just one suggestion weld or rig a "cam" like mechanism(offset thick washers might work) with long lever handles to raise and lower the jaw/clamp that would really speed things up
@cansigns Actually, your comment was shitty towards the poster, and had absolutely no bearing on my comment. Im angry, because i hate ignorant assholes such as yourself. Im also angry, because in todays pussified society it would be unacceptable to give you the ass beating you so rightly deserve.
thanks for letting everyone know to add the thickness of materal to your bend?

Very nice. I was gonna build something a little simpler for myself, but this is just to cool.

Nice rig. Now, one side is bent, how about the 90 degree side?
I think that removable fingers would be a more general solution.
Nice stiffening bars for the centers for the camp piece and the bending piece.
Also, cool metal cutting saw jig for the notching of the plate.

5 minutes to over bend a piece of metal?!
just kidding
still badass and could be very useful in a post apocolypse scenario
