@pedrom41 doesnt matter if his foot is up. They use the tip of the blade of the front foot, if that foot fails to trigger the laser they will go back and correct the time using using highspeed camera.

Wotherspoon. So obviously he's good but
not "the best."

For now, yes, but Davis is serving as an
example to other blacks, and eventually
more in the future will develop interest in
those sports. It's all matter of being exposed to different things, encouraged, and supported the same way Shani Davis
was. I do not know why there are still some people qustioning black people's
athletic ability and capability.

0:00.01 was the difference. Wotherspoon
won, but the time is not dramatically huge
to categorically proclaim that Wotherspoon is much better or much faster than Davis. If you did pay close attention to the race, then you saw where
Davis had a little trouble--and that could have made the difference. This is not in any way to discredit Wotherspoon, but check the replay at 2:56/3:25. The race could've been won by Davis.

Davis is a much respected ice speed skater. He's a great rider and a wonderful addition to the legacy of speed skating. Much more so than f.i.a Chad Haddrick.

@pedrom41 hmm i guess 67 world cup wins most wins by anyone ever doesnt make wotherspoon the best. oh yeah isnt he the world record holder too? yeah he is I guess a shitty olympics takes away all of your other accomplishments according to uninformed people who base everything off one race. i suppose its a matter of opinion but maybe take everything into account not one race...
