@Cchrisbud813 its an RS-3P according to a few horn experts i know including a horn expert on youtube
-
@legsbluetrain Oops, I stand corrected. Yeah I also found a pic that shows a 3-bell horn. That means the horn has no official designation. My mistake.
-
Dude where they hell did they get an RS3P anyhow...
-
@fnm9908 its definately a 3 chime looked at several good pics of it its not a 5 chime and it dont sound like a S3L or a RS3L so very well could be a rare RS3P
-
@legsbluetrain sounds like a S5T but it only has 3 bells lookin at pics of it so Im not exactly sure what it is
-
@randommagnum I know NS is doing the same thing, they've got several newer units like dash 9's with brand new RS5T's, I can't remember all of the numbers but several 97 and 9800 units have them
-
I looked this loco up on rrpicturearchives(dot)net and it does look to be a 3-chime Leslie on top (in some photos) but it does have an S5Tish sound to it. You all may think I'm nuts, but I'd say it's an S3L with a 37 bell in place of the 31.
I hope this means Leslie is making a comeback in the horn market. I know that's probably not the case, but I can dream, can't I?

I have to say that is an RS5T it's not hard to compare it to a RS3L it has a deeper sound to it.
Awesome video! The horn is a fouled Leslie RS-5T. It's not an RS-3P; you can hear a 44 bell (RS-3P doesn't have that one).
