  • I have a concern about calories. I lost 110 pounds since february 2011. I was 275, now 165. I'm 6'2". I'd like to achive 5% body fat throught eating healthy and exercising in 2012. It's not so much about the exercises i have to do that i am concerned, but how low in total daily calories should i go to see results every 2 weeks?

1000 is too low, I can't manage my meals to be even called as such.

I drink 2-4L of water every day. workout 6/7 days.(running, spinning, HIT, 10lb or lower weights)

  • @GamesPlayer1 Congratulations on losing 110lbs!!! Exercise does play a big role when you're trying to get down to 5% body fat, the way you train will make a world of difference. You need to figure out how many calories you burn per workout and eat accordingly so that you cut 500 calories a day from your BMR. Look up BMR calculator on google. You have to remember 1lb is 3,500 calories. Don't be afraid to up the weight you use when you work out.

  • @GamesPlayer1 I train with fighters that are anywhere form 4% - 7% body fat and they all do heavy power lifting for strength training. It's all about what you eat, do your best to make sure all the food you eat has over 7g of protein at least.

  • @FinalRoundTraining I am not afraid of using heavier weights, for me, right now is more about improving my flexibility and cardio. the low weights are for toning more than anything and preparing me for when i will go heavier for power and strenght.

I had my reasons for being out of shape, but I've been always inspired by Bruce Lee. I intend on working out on his level.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

  • Loved it!!! I'll try to do it every day.
