I like Elin's voice. It is quite pure, and will hopefully strengthen as she gets older.
Another female Welsh soprano to watch is Fflur Wyn, and Rhian Lewis. The latter has a more 'operatic' voice.

Her voice is a real revelation,purity without being bland,and real feeling for the shape,colouring and interpretation of the music.
We are lucky enough to be seeing her on June 22nd at The Royal Festival Hall(London) in Bach's Mass in B Minor(with the Bach Choir).
I am really looking forward to this now!

Hello! This is an outstanding performance... but are you sure it has been recorded the 12th of April 2009? Elin Manahan Thomas was singing in Rome that evening (Andrew Miller's "The Birth of Christ" to be precise).

Hi, The date ive given, is the date it was transmitted on Songs of Praise, it would have been recorded weeks earlier. Sorry for any confusion.
