  • The gourd/squash is called bitter squash. Asians eat this alot...Vietnamese more to be exact. i'm Vietnamese so this is one of my favorite squash. it's good as a soup too...when u stuff it w/ground pork and shrimp...and add cilantros & green onions...it's awesome. Basically, it's very bitter. i can't think of anything that's bitter...kinda like grapefruit...the bitter part....it's bitter like that but more. i hope that helps u to compare.

  • the green things at the beginning look kinda gross to me.. what do they taste like? can you compare it with anything else?

  • Gourds are only good if you cook it right... I usually avoid cooking so I won't see funny faces as I serve it to my parents. lol
