President Obama delivers a statement from the White House Rose Garden, just minutes after what is now a fruitless trip to Copenhagen in an attempt to land the 2016 Olympics for his native Chicago.

"I had no doubt that it was the strongest bid possible," said a shocked Obama. "We obviously would have been eager to host these games, but this nation and our athletes are still very much excited to compete in 2016."

Obama also commented on the latest job report, showing a slight increase of the unemployment rate to 9.8%, which is "a sobering reminder that progress comes in fits and starts."

  • All you gloating a-holes can go blow Jacques, Because to the victor went the SPOILS. 200 IN 2010, 800 the next in Brazil.

  • Despite the best efforts of the globe trotting First Couple, we all saw that Chicago wasn't awarded the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, being eliminated in the first round of voting. The eventual winner: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Unrelated to watch?v=VDBxtbVaO4c

I couldn't help but notice the closing ceremonies for the 2016 games are scheduled to take place AUG. 21, 2016--exactly one year before the United States next experiences a total solar eclipse on AUG. 21, 2017

  • @FlamingPineapples1 Racist obese morons?

  • @tubeyou443 please dont judge us by this shithole of a president. He doesnt represent what America stands for and what America is.

  • @BigGeezer325

that seems a bit extreme. I personally am also very much against him, but Im kind of hoping that if messes up just enough, and not too much, it will create a counter-movement to get the country back on track. ultimately he could be so bad something good happens. does that make sense? i just hope he doesnt mess things up so much that the counter-movement cant fix it.

sort of like how George III was good for America bc now we're our own nation, and we could become the best

  • @BigGeezer325

  • @JackieEaux Really, Why does our idiot in charge Blame everything on Bush? It is

hard to forget about Bush even after 18 Months of putting up with the Asshole we have now. I long for the days when all I had to worry about when it came to my President was him saying a word wrong. Now we have a Anti-American far far far far left wing communist Racist Turd in the White House. Who can't talk without a teleprompter. And has FAILED AT OIL CLEAN UP, BORDER, ECONOMY, WAR, BABY MURDER, NO JOBS. O=SCUM
