here is a example of a low km Mexican beetle that we removed the Immobilizer it is a 2004 model year and it is the ``Ultima Edicion `` there were 3000 of this model made but only 1500 of this color and 1499 available to paying customer one of the blue one is in a museum in Germany the problem with the car was that it wasn't used for a couple of years and needed a tune up but the main problem the customer did not get the immobilizer part that goes on the key chain from the previous owner so we had to remove the factory immo. and see if the Vag Com could read the Digifant ECU on this car and it did with the help of a home made adapter connector.

I would think so to but it is normal to build a car in 2003 and sell it for a 2004 model year if you look at the serial no. it shows the model year 2004 I don't know what was the last production serial no. compared to the car I was working on I don't know if they were building blue and red ones at the same time of all blue and then red or the other way around would be nice to know from some one that worked at the factory

Hey v10PDTDI, can you tell me how can I look for the connector you used for you laptop? I want to get one of those so I can connect it to my laptop and be able to diagnose my 1998 Mexican VW, instead of buying a dedicated device. I'd like to connect it just as you have it.

thank you for making the Vocho video. my vw mexican beetle is a 2004 as well with a RF wand immobilizer system. unfortunately for me, my black plastic wand fell on the sidewalk and is now deprogrammed. also the red master wand was never given to me when i bought the car from BeetleMex. how did you bypass the immobilizer so you could start the engine.

it would apprecieate the help. i cannot start my car without bypassing the immobilizer. thank you, ricardo

Nice introducution to the Mexican Volkswagen Beetle 1600i Ultima Edicion. Just a couple of things I noted: This beetle was actually built in 2003. The last one rolled off the assembly line on the 30th of July 2003. Take my word for it or look it up. Also, the black canister under the front hood is an expansion chamber connected to the gas tank. The actual charcoal canister is in the back near the transmission/engine.
