amigamaria001 theres a quick-release adapter you can get, the unfortunate part is that it's another 15-20 bucks, but it solves your issue

I like my R-Strap but HATE that I have to completey remove it and put my quick release tripod mount back on the camera every time I need to use my tripod. A real pain and gobblers up tons of time when you consider I paid $65 dollars for a camera strap.
