I like how, at 2.37, the keyboardist and the singer were hugging each other. It was done because of the explosions. It was safe...but still. I actually admire that.

"99 Luftballons" (German for "99 balloons") is a protest song by the German pop-rock band Nena from their 1983 self-titled album. Originally sung in German, it was later re-recorded in English as "99 Red Balloons" for their album 99 Luftballons in 1984. Later Nena (without band) recorded a new version of the song.

The lyric to this song is such beautiful.

This song would be so much better if the Soviet Union had not collapsed but attacked the West in 1989, with the West German Army, Americans, and British fighting the East Germans and Russians in bombed out Berlin with this being played on loudspeakers everywhere.
What...? Don't look at me like that! That's what this song is about!

I still remember being a little shit mesmerized by Nena's beauty on MTV, until she lifted her arms up...that was a real "oh shit" situation.
