The wrestlers bridge is probably the most controversial exercises. Most people see a picture of a person performing a bridge and they swear that that person is on the verge of breaking their neck. Some say that it is dangerous hyperextension of the spine. All of this is talk of the uninformed and ignorant. The truth is , there may not be an exercise better for strengthening the back, removing back pain, and improving posture all in one exercise.

And besides that being able to get in all kinds of weird funky positions like this is great for your sex life as well LOL :-)

  • Hey Lee...good one. BTW, this is a yoga posture call "Chakrasan"...Chakra in Sanskrit means wheel and asan mean posture/pose.

  • I have a question for exercises fitness trainers. Some exercises look simple but have pre-requisite strength and flexibility requirements. What are the requirements for this one. Would a beginner who never did neck exercises be safe to start on this?

  • @RumuhAlg no, it will strengthen muscles in your back you tend not to use. it wont bulk you up if your already training hard. if your a weak lil bitch it will most likely increase muscle mass. (it will make it more cut if anything)

  • how often should u train like this..everyday. 2x a day..iv heard olympic wreslters do it 2x a day..i use 4 way neck everyday but iv heard briding is better to build ur neck up..any advice..iv done it before but prefrer 4way neck machine b/c its a pain to get on the floor and to do this
