@o1iveoy1 Although I wholeheartedly agree that Howard Alden is a great player, a comment must be made about his warm personality. I was shaking the first time I saw him play in a French Cafe around 101st Street, before then I had just heard the records of him with George Van Eps. After watching him play, I summoned up the courage to talk to him, and guess what, he's a pretty friendly guy too. Thanks for the footage, but don't be so shaky next time.

I felt intimidated to be in the presence of such greatness. I took the one of Sweet Georgia Brown in the same venue a few months later. As you can see, I was still shaking.
