  • Funny. Schumann himself said it should be "so schnell wie moeglich" (as fast as possible) and then a few bars later, "noch schneller" (faster still). I think she did very well. And yes, it is special. Her Schumann playing is incredible, whether it is this piece, his Fantasie, Kinderszenen, Kreisleriana, or the concerto. I'd love to hear her do the F# minor sonata.

  • @Thenonyacheckmarks No.  Clara Schumann wrote a sonata in G minor, but it's not this one.

  • I'm correct on both counts. Check wikipedia under Clara Schumann and works. The piece debuted in 1842.
