Yet another version of Richard Thompson's classic, this time totally unplugged. Performed at a house concert in Brindle, near Preston.

  • This is really excellent....I saw RT perform this a couple of days ago (along with 1952 Vincent etc) and I reckon Dan nailed it - best cover version I've heard....you should be very proud of your son. 5***** from Bluefrog Dad

  • Best version I've heard so far! <3 x

  • I'm glad I randomly came back to this video after a year... now I know I can buy it :)

  • I am blown away by Dan.

I have contacted Mike Harding via radio 2 website to say he really needs to hear him. Voice and guitar are stunning (better than David Gray and as beautiful as Don McCleans).

One suggestion - stop playing guitar for end or second to end verse - just for variation

I predict big things for Dan.

Will try to see him if he gigs near London.

  • Great rendition of an emotive song. Thanks for the tip CharlieBBoy

  • I saw Dan perform this last night at another house concert. The emotional maturity of the performance was impressive. I'm sharing it on my facebook.

  • This is so wonderful! 5 stars. :)
