So if no client appears this means I have to wait for someone to log on to the network?

@juancarlosruiz1985 Yes that is correct you need to have them on so that when you deauthenticate the WPA handshake can then be captured

can someone help me setup my vm box with backtrak 4 , when i type airmon-ng my device is not listed i have a linksys wusb100 v2 i have no internet connection in my vmbox and no idea how to install ndiswrapper or recompile driver, maybe someone can connect to my pc and show me how?

@xoxx1234 You do not want anyone to connect to your pc do not do that!!! there is a strong likelihood you will invite a malicious user who will plant virus and trojan on the machine. Have you check that the adaptor is compatible with aircrack? you can do this on their website, most problems like this are down to incompatibility of the adaptor chipset. Also have you started networking in backtrack usually you would do this at the "root toor" using the /etc/init.d/networking start command

@xoxx1234 Also try to establish internet connection first check the "bridged" setting and set up of the adaptor in the vm ware box once you have done this move onto the commands etc it took me quite a while to figure it out backtrack was alot harder to work with compared to the aircrack suite by itself good luck

What is the problem?

@Hidroudar Are you deauthorising the client? can you be certain there is a client on the network? if the answer to both is yes then it maybe that you are not close enough to the client and need to increase your range or move position. hope this helps.
